The article, which exposed the domestic violence, caused a stir online. The creator, Mr. A, who revealed that he was a classmate of Kim Hyun-jae in elementary and middle school, said that Kim Hyun-jae had once told him, "You're a scumbag."

The matter came to a close, and Kim Hyun Jae did not apologize after that. However, Kim Hyun Jae refuted that all the allegations were untrue.
