「キム・ホジュン手法」再び…飲酒あおり運転後に逃走し高架下に落下=韓国
”Kim HoJun's technique” again... Drunk driving leads to escape and falls under overpass - Korea
The drunk driver, who fled the scene after tailgating and causing an accident that caused his car to fall off an overpass, was caught after abandoning his car and fleeing again, and an arrest warrant was applied for but was denied.
On the 15th, Incheon Michuhol Police Station arrested a man in his 40s, suspect A, on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act and flight resulting in injury under the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes Act.
On the 14th, at around 9:23 pm, the suspect was arrested at Il-Il, Dohwa-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon City.
He is suspected of drunk driving, crashing into a parked motorcycle on the road, and then fleeing the scene. At the time, the motorcycle driver approached the suspect A's car, which was stopped at a traffic light, and asked, "Why are you tailgating me?"
The motorcycle driver was protesting, saying, "Are you going to roll over?" During the conversation, the driver of the motorcycle reported the smell of alcohol coming from suspect A to the police, but while reporting the incident, suspect A started driving the car, crashed into the motorcycle in front of him, and fled.
Suspect A fled to Songrim-dong, Dong-gu, about 1.2 kilometers away, and the car fell 3 meters into the woods on the Songrim Overpass.
Suspect A escaped from the driver's seat on his own, abandoned the car and fled again.
Suspect A was arrested by police at around 11:00 p.m., about two hours after his escape, about 350 meters from the accident scene.
At the time of his arrest, Suspect A's blood alcohol content was over 0.08%, the level at which a driver's license would be revoked. During the police investigation, Suspect A said, "I had no idea that I had had an argument with the motorbike driver.
"I remember it clearly, but I don't remember the fall that happened afterwards because I was drunk," he said. Police plan to complete their investigation and reapply for an arrest warrant.
Recently, there have been a number of cases of people fleeing police after drunk driving.
In May, he was drunk driving in Gangnam, Seoul, crashed into another car, and then fled the scene without dealing with the accident. Kim Ho-jun admitted to drunk driving, but the prosecution did not provide objective evidence of his drinking.
The charge of drunk driving could not be prosecuted because evidence could not be secured.
