TAEMIN (SHINee) to be MC of ”Road to Kingdom”... Production team also expects him to be ”a role model for junior boy groups”

Korean boy group SHINee member and solo artist Taemin will be the MC of 'Road to Kingdom'.

On the 17th, Mnet announced that Taemin will be the sole MC for the new season of 'Road to Kingdom', which will newly return in 2024.

Mnet's 'Road to Kingdom' will return anew after rebranding in 2024. Unlike its predecessor, which was more like a pre-quality programme to qualify for the follow-up 'Kingdom', this time it will be part of Mnet's own 'K-Pop Boy Group Rising Project', which will once again focus on boy groups that have plenty of ability and potential. The lineup of seven groups including 'THE NEW SIX', 'The CrewOne' (ATBO, JUST B), '8TURN', 'ONEUS', 'YOUNITE', 'CRAVITY' and 'TEMPEST' was revealed earlier, and Taemin was even announced as the MC. Taemin is the main dancer of 'SHINee' and a male solo performer representing all generations of K-pop.Since his debut in 2008 at the age of 14, Taemin has been actively involved in global activities as a member of 'SHINee' and since 2014 he has also shown great success as a solo artist.

Meanwhile, the new season of Mnet's 'Road to Kingdom', which is highly anticipated with Taemin as MC, will air in September.
