China's cumulative installed power generation capacity reached 3.07 billion km in first half of the year, up 14.1% from the same period last year - Chinese report

On the 20th, the National Energy Administration of China released the first half of the year power industry statistical data. According to the data, the cumulative installed capacity of power generation in the country was about 3.07 billion cubic meters as of the end of June, down from the previous year.
This is a 14.1% increase from the same period last year. Of this, solar power generation capacity increased 51.6% to approximately 710 million kilowatts, and wind power generation capacity increased 19.9% to approximately 470 million kilowatts.
In the first half of the year, the cumulative usage hours of power generation facilities nationwide was 1,666 hours, down 71 hours from the previous year. Investment in power generation projects by major power generation companies nationwide increased by 2.5% from the previous year.
Investment in power grid projects increased 23.7% year-on-year to 254 billion former (approximately 5.5 trillion yen), while investment in electricity grid projects increased 23.7% year-on-year to 344.1 billion former (approximately 7.5 trillion yen).
