Actor Kang Kyoung-Jun admits to affair? ”It all started with my immorality, and I've agreed to pay the 5 million yen claim... I won't get divorced”

Actor Kang Kyung Joon opened up about his alleged infidelity.

　Kang Kyung-joon said, "I apologise for causing concern to many people at the beginning of this year due to something that was not good," and stated, "My heart is heavy as it seems that I have let down those who support me and my family more greatly this time."

　On the 26th December last year, Kang Kyung-joon faced a 50 million won damages lawsuit from Mr A. Mr A named Kang Kyung-joon as the adulterer of his wife, Mrs B. After the news of the indictment was reported, Kang Kyung-joon has not revealed any position until now.

　As to why he has remained silent, he said "I was afraid that my words or actions might cause a great deal of hurt to the other party and the people around me. I regret that my attitude may have caused even more damage to many people."

　He continued "What was reported in the media was an extract of some of the claims made by the litigants and not everything related to this was true. I also thought that the accusations started out of my own immorality. I came to the conclusion that it was my role to endure such facts."

　He added "Ever since the lawsuit was filed, I have been trying to find an amicable point of agreement with the parties concerned, but in the end, both parties were unable to reach an amicable conclusion and I had no choice but to bring this to a conclusion through the court. I felt that it would be much deeper and should only cause even greater discomfort to those who have supported me. To this, I decided to accept the other party's claim without making an explanation or disputing the factual differences in legal proceedings," he said, giving his reasons for accepting Mr A's claim.

　Kang Kyung Joon then apologised, saying, "Once again, I would like to express my apologies to everyone who experienced unpleasant feelings because of me."

　At 11am on the same day, Kang Kyung-joon's first argument in his alimony claim was held at the Seoul Family Court hearing. Kang Kyung-joon was absent from the trial. It was known that the trial court had made a decision to admit the case.
