Gimpo Airport temporarily suspends operations due to suspected North Korean ”dirty balloon” (South Korea)

On the 24th, it was discovered that an object believed to be a dirty balloon from North Korea caused temporary disruption to aircraft landings at Gimpo Airport in South Korea.
According to the Korea Airports Corporation, the Seoul Regional Aviation Bureau appeared over Gimpo Airport at around 5:22 pm on the same day.
The airport immediately issued a no-landing order after observing what appeared to be a dirty balloon. The order was eventually lifted at 6:11 pm and flight operations returned to normal.
A Korea Airports Corporation official said, "An unidentified object believed to be a garbage balloon was found floating above the Korean Air headquarters building, so we issued a one-day landing ban.
"The flight was delayed by four to five minutes, and then took off after waiting two to three minutes. Although there were delays,
"There was no significant impact on flights," he said. Meanwhile, at Incheon International Airport, no impact on flights was reported due to North Korea's dirty balloons on the same day.
