G-DRAGON, a singer and member of the group "BIGBANG", has signed a trade-off with the former management office YG Entertainment regarding the trademark rights to his stage name "G-DRAGON" and "GD".
The transfer was made at no cost. G-DRAGON, who is planning to start a solo career in the second half of the year, will now be able to freely use his existing stage name "G-DRAGON" for his future activities.
A source from Galaxy Corporation, G-DRAGON's current management office, said, "Currently, Galaxy

A YG official also said, "We will transfer the trademark rights of G-DRAGON and others to Galaxy Corporation.
G-DRAGON, who is currently a visiting professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), is preparing to make a comeback as a singer in the second half of the year.
A Galaxy Corporation official said, "The exact date has not yet been decided."
G-DRAGON debuted in 2006 as a member of the group BIGBANG and released hit songs such as "Lie."
After his exclusive contract with YG expired, he moved to Galaxy Corporation last year.
