”I really loved you”... A man in his 30s who sexually assaulted a middle school girl 40 times was sentenced to eight years in prison in South Korea

A cram school teacher who sexually assaulted a female junior high school student 40 times and even produced sexually exploitative videos was sentenced to eight years in prison on appeal.

The court sentenced Defendant A, a man in his 30s who was indicted on charges of violating the Sexual Protection Act (fraudulent indecency, etc.), to 120 hours of sexual assault treatment and 10 years of child, adolescent, and disability-related counseling.
The court also ordered that defendant A be restricted from employment at the institution and that he disclose his personal information for five years. From July to October of last year, defendant A worked as an English teacher at a cram school and took student B to a car or accommodation facility over 40 times.
He was also put on trial on suspicion of filming his sexual relations with B and producing sexual exploitation material of children and adolescents.
At the time, Defendant A had experienced school violence and family discord and was in an emotionally unstable state.
He treated B kindly and built trust with her. He then took advantage of B's tendency to depend on him and began a sexual relationship with her.
