According to the police, three siblings, A (25, female), B (18), and C (17), who live in Busan, were on summer vacation on the 2nd when they were visiting their parents' home and suffered a tragic accident.
On the evening of the 3rd, the couple went to the town of Sunchang in a 1-ton truck driven by their cousin, Mr. D (22), and after drinking alcohol, they were hit by a truck driven by Mr. D.
On the way home, they had an accident on a curved road. All three siblings except for D died in the accident. At the time, D's blood alcohol level was 0.01, the level at which a driver's license would be revoked.
The accident rate was .08%. The police charged D with drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act and causing death under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling. The police said, "D is currently receiving treatment at the hospital with serious injuries."
"As soon as he has recovered to some extent, we will investigate and apply for an arrest warrant."
