Lightning strikes 40 times in a row... Teacher in his 30s struck by lightning and left unconscious in South Korea

A teacher in his 30s who was taking teacher training at Chosun University in South Korea was struck by lightning and taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest. As of 4:45 a.m. on the same day, 40 lightning strikes were reported in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
According to the Gwangju Metropolitan City Eastern Fire Department on the 5th, a high school teacher, Mr. A (32), was struck by lightning at around 12:04 pm on the same day at a cafe in front of the Korea University College of Education in Dong-gu.
After receiving the report, the fire department dispatched to the scene found Mr. A collapsed in a state of cardiac arrest and transported him to the hospital. After receiving treatment at the hospital, Mr. A regained his pulse and breathing.
He has recovered but is still unconscious. Fire officials believe that Mr. A went outside during a training break and was struck by lightning. As of 4:45 p.m. on the same day, there were 40 lightning strikes in Gwangju.
At around 1 p.m. on the same day, the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration issued a heavy rain warning accompanied by thunder and lightning for Gwangju and four cities and counties in South Jeolla Province.
Lightning strikes caused by atmospheric instability have been frequently observed in the area. On the 16th of last month, a total of 4,500 lightning strikes were observed in the area between midnight and 9 p.m.
