Hyundai Motor to produce electric vehicles in Thailand... production to start in 2026

The Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) announced on the 7th that South Korea's Hyundai Motor plans to invest 1 billion baht (approximately 4.1237 billion yen) in an electric vehicle and battery assembly facility (in Thailand).
Hyundai's Thai factory is located in Samut Prakan province, south of the capital Bangkok, and is scheduled to start production in 2026 through a contract manufacturing system with local companies.
The Board of Investment of Thailand said, "Hyundai Motor will procure more than a third of its parts locally through Thailand's domestic supply network."
