DeFi (decentralized finance) protocol "Nexera" was hacked and $1.5 million worth of cryptocurrency was stolen, according to South Korean media NEWS1.
On the 7th (local time), Web3 security company Cybers announced through X (formerly Twitter) that Nexera had been hacked and had lost $1.5 million (approximately 220 million yen).
Cyberse said that the theft of assets was carried out through a vulnerability attack on smart contracts.
It is alleged that the "withdrawal management" function of the Nexera protocol was abused to seize Nexera tokens.
