First, please tell us about your band, EASTSHINE. IEL: We have the identity of a four-leaf clover (hope, love, happiness, luck).
With a message for young people incorporated into their music using the colors of "EASTSHINE," the group is moving forward while illuminating the world.
Q. Everyone from "EASTSHINE" debuted on November 16th of last year, and it hasn't even been a year yet, but do you feel like you've debuted?
Dongjae: It seems like the way I view my family at home has changed.
Hyun: I think my goal has changed. Before my debut, I thought, "I'm going to debut.
My goal was to become a "group leader," but after my debut, through that experience, I got a new goal of becoming part of a more famous and talented group.
Phoenix: Since my debut, I've appeared on many shows and had many interesting experiences.
Q. Your debut song "Double Down" and "Heartthrob" released on May 4th give very different impressions.
"Down" has a strong youthful atmosphere, while "Heartthrob" exudes a playful boyish beauty. Please tell us about each song and their appealing points.
Lumin: "Double Down" captivates listeners with its hopeful lyrics and refreshing high notes. Meanwhile, "Heartthrob" has a mischievous vibe that makes us want to listen to it.
I think that we will be able to show you how much we enjoy this stage. IEL: "Double Down" is a song that gives strength to those in their youth who are moving forward towards their dreams.
"Hrob" contains a message encouraging people to enjoy their tired youth.
"Down" features a strong beat, while "Heartthrob" has an addictive melody.
Q. The name of your fan club is said to be MUSCAT. What is the meaning behind the name Muscat? How did you decide on that name? Please tell us the process.
Dongjae: Our group name is "East Shine," so by combining it with "Muscat," we get "Shine Muscat."
Q. The average age of everyone in "EASTSHINE" is 18 years old. Phoenix, who helped lower the average age, was born in 2009, so he's 15 this year.
Phoenix-san, who came from Thailand, did you have any fears or worries about coming to a foreign country alone at such a young age?
Please let me know if you have ever helped out. Also, please tell me how you spend your time with the members.
Phoenix: I was a little scared and worried at first, but I tried my best to adapt to the team.
As a result, the seniors on my team taught me a lot and gave me a lot of advice, which was a great help to me.
Q. IEL, even though you are still young, you have many roles including leader, lyricist, composer, main vocalist, and main rapper.
With all your different roles under your belt, what made you decide to take over as leader in place of Dongjae, the oldest?
IEL: When we were trainees, we took turns being the leader, and then the current leader was chosen by vote. Q.
Hyun's dancing is very smooth and impressive, and I heard that he was the captain of the dance club in high school. He has dreamed of becoming an idol since he was in high school.
When did you start aiming to become an idol? Hyun: I dreamed of becoming a roboticist from when I was little until I was in my first year of high school. However, when I was in elementary school, my parents showed me
When I saw the performances of BIGBANG and BTS, a dream of becoming an idol started to grow in the back of my mind. I didn't have the courage to try until I was a freshman in high school, but it was late.
But I was able to get this far just by having the desire to do it. Q. Dongjae, you have a very soft impression, but you have a powerful rap. What is your normal personality like?
Which side are you closest to? Also, please tell us if there is a side of me that I haven't shown yet. Dongjae: I also have a sexy side, so I plan to show that in this performance.
I think he has a powerful and energetic personality. Q. You describe Lumin as a "baby" in your introduction, but he is actually tall and has a manly charm. Official
Lumin: Actually, I will be an adult in a few months, and in the process, I suddenly wanted to act younger. I was the tallest and strongest member of the team.
It may seem that way, but in reality, it is mostly cuteness. The people in Muscat use "babylighting" (baby + gaslighting = gradually brainwashing someone).
Q. Please tell us what direction or ambitions EASTSHINE is aiming for.
IEL: We hope to inspire the masses through songs that have a unique color that is unique to "EASTSHINE" and become a meaningful artist that continues to grow!
