Beijing: CPI rises 0.1% year-on-year in January-July - Chinese media

The Beijing Municipal Statistics Bureau recently announced the Beijing Consumer Price Index (CPI) for January to July of this year. The Beijing CPI for January to July rose 0.1% compared to the same period last year.
The CPI fell 4.4%, non-food prices rose 0.9%, consumer goods prices fell 1.0%, and service prices rose 1.3%. Of the eight components of the CPI, six increased and two decreased.
Among the eight categories of goods and services, education, culture and entertainment increased by 5.0%, other goods and services increased by 4.2%, and daily necessities and services increased by 0.2%.
Transportation and communications also increased by 0.1%. Meanwhile, tobacco and alcohol prices fell by 2.7% and health insurance prices fell by 0.1%.
