Disney+'s ”Acolyte” starring Lee Jung-jae, season 2 production canceled

Production for season 2 of the Disney+ original series "Acolyte," starring actor Lee Jung-jae, has been canceled.

The production company LUCAS Films has decided not to produce a second season of "Acolyte." The decision was made one month after the first season ended.
"Acolyte" recorded a 78% freshness index on the movie rating site Rotten Tomatoes, but the general audience's rating was 100% pop.
The rating for the movie was 18%, and it was heavily criticized. The acting of Lee Jung, who played the first Asian Jedi, was praised, but the casting of people of color and LGBT characters was criticized.
