Lee Jae-myung, leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 21st, "I would like to send a mirror" in response to President Yoon Seok-yeol's "anti-national forces" remarks.
"The nation is the people, and anything that threatens the peace of the nation is an anti-national force," Lee said at a meeting of the party's supreme committee held at the National Assembly that morning.
It continues, "An act of denying sovereignty over the territory of a nation that is composed of sovereignty, people, and territory, namely, Dokdo (Dokdo, Japanese name: Takeshima)
"This is a truly anti-national act. Who is doing this?" he said. "Far from protecting the lives and safety of the people with the power given to them by the people, they are using it to undermine the national security of the country.
"Please remember that any act that brings danger to your home and threatens the lives and safety of the people will always be severely judged by the people and by history," he added.
