「BTS」SUGA、飲酒運転の影響か?日本の広告がキャンセルに…「内部事情のため広告掲載が難しい状況」
”BTS” SUGA, is it the influence of Drunk Driving? Japanese advertisement canceled... ”Due to internal circumstances, it is difficult to place advertisements”
Could this be due to drunk driving scandal? The Japanese advertisement of SUGA (BTS) has been cancelled.

On the 21st, the K-pop idol voting app 'idoki' announced via X (formerly Twitter) that 'it is difficult to post SUGA's advertisement'.

The 'idoki' side announced, "The advertisement was scheduled to be aired on the 24th August and 21st September on 'Shibuya Ai Vision' with the reward of SUGA of BTS, the second ranked male idol in June/July, but due to the circumstances of the media company of 'Shibuya Ai Vision', it is difficult to place the advertisement".

They continued "Please be aware that the location and airing schedule of the advertisements will be changed. We will inform you of the changed SUGA advertising schedule and the details of the re-solicitation of advertising proposals in the near future."

Prior to this, SUGA was arrested by the police on the night of the 6th near his home in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, while he was drunk and collapsed on her electric scooter. At the time, SUGA's blood alcohol level was 0.227%, far exceeding the licence revocation threshold (0.08%). This has led to speculation that Japanese advertisers may have cancelled the advertisements in light of the SUGA drunk-driving controversy.

Meanwhile, it was reported that SUGA is scheduled to be investigated by the police today (22nd), but this has turned out to be a false alarm. According to the police, SUGA, who is currently serving as a substitute community service officer, is currently adjusting his appearance schedule and the investigation will be conducted behind closed doors.
