In Episode 6 of Hero 2, Liu Kaihua is shown saving his nephew Jiang Lei.
Dong Ge was going to make a large amount of drugs, and Wan Jia Da was preparing to transport the drugs. Jiang Lei was going to leave this job as a courier for the last time.
He promised to investigate and decided to enlist the help of Liu Kaihua, who was no longer in the drug control battalion. Liu Kaihua helped Jiang Lei and drove him to his own Dongge hideout.
