President Yoon's approval rating ”falls”...ruling party's ”rises” = South Korea
The results of a public opinion poll released on the 26th showed that South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol's approval rating had dropped. The poll was conducted by the South Korean polling agency Realmeter from the 19th to the 23rd of this month.
In a survey of 2,506 voters aged 8 and above, President Yoon's approval rating was 30.0%, down 0.7 percentage points from the previous survey (one week ago).
President Yoon's approval rating has remained in the low to mid 30% range for four months since the survey conducted immediately after the April 10 general election (the second week of April).
Disapproval rose 1.0 percentage points to 66.4%. Meanwhile, a survey of party approval ratings conducted by Realmeter on the 22nd and 23rd of this month among 1,000 voters aged 18 and over showed that the majority of voters in the party disapproval rate were in favor of the ruling party.
The People's Power Party received 37.0% of the votes, while the Democratic Party of Japan received 40.0%. The ruling party's approval rating increased by 6.0% from the previous survey (one week ago), while the Democratic Party of Japan's approval rating decreased by 2.2%.
This was followed by the Fatherland Reform Party (7.7%), the New Reform Party (3.6%), the New Future (1.4%) and the Progressive Party (1.1%), with other parties receiving 1.4%.
