China's Hainan Aviation Facilities Co., Ltd. announced its results for the first half of this year. The company's operating revenue for the first half of this year was 2.251 billion former (about 45.6 billion yen), down 33.22% from the same period last year.
Net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 289 million former (approximately 5.85 billion yen), down 50.35% year on year. Changes in operating income included a sharp decline in real estate business income compared to the previous fiscal year.
The main reason for this is the drop in the number of employees. In the same period, the company achieved operating revenue of 946 million former (approximately 19.15 billion yen) in its airport operations, one of its main businesses.
At the airport, the number of aircraft takeoffs and landings decreased by 11.37% to 78,600, the number of passengers decreased by 4.56% to 12,508,400, and the amount of cargo handled decreased by 2.23% to 73,400 tons.
Among them, Sanya Phoenix International Airport, the largest in the country, saw a 9% decrease in the number of takeoffs and landings to 62,700, a 3.15% decrease in passenger numbers to 10,888,900, and a 3.5% decrease in cargo handling volume to 10,888,900.
Revenues from duty-free and commercial businesses were down 36 million formers from the same period last year to 104 million formers (approximately 2.1 billion yen).
