China's July mobile phone shipments up 30.5% year-on-year: Chinese report

On the 28th, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released a report on the operation analysis of the domestic mobile phone market in July 2024. According to the report, in July of this year, the number of mobile phone shipments in the Chinese domestic market will reach 24.2 million.
Of these, 5G smartphones increased 37.2% year-on-year to 24.204 million units, accounting for 85.3% of the total shipments.
Meanwhile, mobile phone shipments in the domestic market in the first seven months of this year increased 15.3% year-on-year to 171 million units, of which 5G smartphones accounted for 23.6%.
This represents an increase to 145 million units, accounting for 84.8% of the total.
