<Interview> BAEK HYUN (EXO) talks about his solo album released after 3 years and 6 months and his thoughts on ”EXO-L”

Baek Hyun (EXO) will release his first solo album in three years and six months. Baek Hyun will be released at 6 pm on the 6th.
HYUN's 4th mini album "Hello, World" contains a Thai song that expresses his irresistible charm by comparing it to a slice of the sweetest pineapple.
The album includes the tune "Pineapple Slice," as well as "Good Morning America," which contains the message to welcome every day with a sparkle.
Morning," a medium tempo track with bossa nova piano sounds; and Rendez-Vou
"Cold Heart" is a powerful track with a sweet piano soundtrack, "Woo" progresses with a heavy drum sound and lyrical chords, and "Woo" has a fantastic atmosphere.
BAEK's latest single "Truth Be Told" is a mix of pop, hip-hop, alternative and other genres.
A total of six R&B songs typical of HYUN have been recorded. BAEK talks about the production process of this solo album and his thoughts for his fans.
HYUN spoke frankly. Q. It must be emotional for you to release your first solo album in 3 years and 6 months since "Bambi". How do you feel about it?
I hope this will be the biggest present for Eri (nickname for the official fan club name "EXO-L") who have been waiting for so long!
I'm nervous but happy. Q. The album title "Hello, World" is quite impressive. Is there a reason why you decided on it this way?
This is our first album in three years and six months, so we chose "Hello, World" because we wanted to greet EXO-L and listeners all over the world in a big way. Q.
What do you think was the most important thing in the process of making this album? I tried to find things that I like and that I could digest well, and above all else, I valued communication.
Q. Why did you choose "Pineapple Slice" as the title song? When I listen to a song, I think the introduction is very important. And when I think of myself on stage,
When I heard "Pineapple Slice," I immediately thought it was a song that could express all of these aspects.
I've been feeling a little disappointed since then, but "Pineapple Slice" was so perfect that I felt like it was a song made for me. Q.
This is your first solo album released under the label INB100. Is there anything different about releasing an album in a new environment?
I feel a bit more responsibility and pressure now, and participating in the album production from the early stages has reminded me that the process of making an album is a very difficult one.
There were many people who worked really hard, and I realized even more how much time and passion you have to put into each album.
I am even more grateful to everyone who has been with me on these albums. Q. You started your first solo Asia tour since your debut at the beginning of this year.
You've done a lot of shows, but your solo tour must have been very emotional. What changed between before and after the show?
Before the performance, I was full of worries and had a lot of doubts about myself. "Can I really do it?"
"Can I fill the performance so that there are no gaps?" However, I felt this way during the first performance.
I thought, "Eri and the others fill all the empty spaces. That's how it's always been."
I realized that the loving looks and cheers they always gave me were what made me sing, dance, and stay strong. So I felt like I could do anything.
Q. Do you have any goals for this album? I want to show the infinite possibilities of the artist BAEK HYUN. Q. I'd like to know your future plans.
There's too much to do. There are many things I haven't done yet. I'm going to clear the quests one by one. I have to release more albums.
I also have to do more world tours and hang out with Eli and the others. I think I'll be able to bring to reality the things I've always only imagined.
