Boy group "BOYFRIEND", who is holding "WowKor" in Japan, took the time out of their schedule to attend the event.
They agreed to an interview with ea. Q. Hello! First of all, please introduce yourself one by one again. Please also tell us about your recent TMI.
Donghyun: I'm Donghyun, the leader. I went golfing yesterday. During the performance period, TMI had eel and soba set meals on our days off.
We had a lot of fun. We had draft beer together. We were laughing a lot and feeling happy! (laughs) Kwangmin: I'm Kwangmin. TMI is going to a ramen restaurant right after the stage is over.
Reporter: What kind of ramen do you like? Kwangmin: I like the slightly spicy ramen from a place called "Ishii Ramen."
Minwoo: I'm Minwoo. TMI, I woke up today and did the laundry! (and more)
(member: Ahh) Reporter: Do you do everyone's laundry? Minwoo: We did the towels together and did our own laundry. (Other members: Yay!)
Hyunseong: I'm Hyunseong. My TMI is busy every day. Other members: Why why?
Hyunseong: On my days off or when I only have a performance at night, I always go out somewhere during the day.
I'll call you. Reporter: Will you be back in time for the performance? Hyunseong: Yes! Minwoo: I'll be a little late though... (laughs)
Jeongmin: I'm Jeongmin. I often go to the mountains to lose weight these days. But...
Etto... I guess... he failed. Thank you! Minwoo: Yes, thank you very much (laughs)
Q. This year marks the 13th anniversary, so what kind of group is "BOYFRIEND"?
Please tell us (the group's strengths, what makes us different from other groups, etc.) Minwoo: Donghyun, please tell us! As the leader! (laughs)
Donghyun: Right now there are five of us so the group isn't complete yet, but it will be completed next year.
Minwoo: With one member back, the group is complete. Donghyun: I feel like we're friends and have a sense of closeness. Since our debut until now
I think that's the image we have. And each member has a completely different personality. Jeongmin: What makes us different from other groups is that each member puts their whole life into their activities.
Reporter: So when you all get together, you create a synergy effect. Donghyun: You get along really well, so you've only had three fights in the past 13 years.
Q. What is the secret to being able to work together for such a long time like 13 years? Hyunseong: I think it's because all the members have really good personalities.
We can laugh and say all kinds of jokes. Donghyun: This group has a great leader, so we've always been good friends! Everyone: Wow! (Applause) (laughs)
Q. Looking back on these past 13 years, what is one event that you particularly remember? Donghyun: Coming to Japan for the first time after our debut.
Kwangmin: For me, filming a movie with the six of us was a special experience.
Minwoo: For me, everything is a precious memory, and I want to continue making more and more good memories.
Jeongmin: For me, it's this moment! It's been a long time since I've had an interview! (laughs) Q. You've been active in units and solo activities up until now, but what else would it be interesting to try?
Is there a unit you'd like to be in? Also, is there anyone you'd like to try out as a solo artist in the future? Hyunseong: Speaking of solo artists, isn't it Minwoo?
Minwoo: Yes, each of us has a solo song, but I haven't released mine yet and am aiming to have it ready around the beginning of next year.
Reporter: Do you want to be a bit like a sports fan? Minwoo: Fans have various requests, like wanting me to be cute or dance really well, so I take that into consideration, but I'm a bit...
I want to do it in a cool way. Donghyun: We have twins in our group, so I think it would be great to do a twin unit!
Kwangmin: I'm thinking about that too. The group name should be... "BOY Twins"? (laughs)
Q. What do you feel is the biggest difference between working solo and in a group?
Kwangmin: Honestly, it's lonely working alone. If everyone is there it's noisier, but it's more fun.
Jeongmin: In my opinion, when we are in a group, the other members can comment on the songs, but when I am alone, I can sing fine, but when I am MCing, my throat gets sore and it is difficult.
That was the biggest worry for me about my solo activities. Q. What does "BOYFRIEND" mean to each of you?
Donghyun: To me, BOYFRIEND is like a family.
They were people who spent time together, so I think I know them better than their families. I can tell what they are thinking just by looking into their eyes.
Reporter: If BOYFRIEND were a family, who would have which role?
Donghyun: My mother is Jeongmin, my father is me, and my family has two mothers (laughs). Minwoo is also a mother.
The other two are my sons... Hyunseong is my son and Kwangmin is my puppy (laughs). Kwangmin: To me, "BOYFRIEND" is "myself." "BOYFRIEND"
When it's gone, I'll be gone too. Journalist: It's like we're one body. Minwoo: I think it's like life itself. I've been doing it since I was in middle school, it's more than half my life, so I can't imagine it disappearing.
Hyunseong: With BOYFRIEND, I can do solo activities and perform on stage with everyone, so BOYFRIEND is really
It is an important part of my life. Reporter: So it's a place you always come back to. Hyunseong: Yes, it's a "home."
Jeongmin: I think BOYFRIEND is a rainbow. We are all on a journey together to find hope.
And since everyone has their own color, personality, and charm, I think it's like a rainbow. Reporter: So everyone comes together to make a big rainbow.

This time, there will be a total of 18 live events, and on the final day, the first fan convention will be held. What are the highlights of each?
Minwoo: Even though we have a number of shows, we change the set list and conversations every time, so I think every day will be a new stage.
There are days when we play stages and various games, and even we don't know what's going to happen on any given day, so I think it's a stage that the fans can enjoy as well.
And at the fan concert, we will be performing on a big stage for the first time in a while, with lots of dance numbers and about 20 more songs, but we will still be able to feel close to everyone.
I think it will be like a fun fan meeting. Jeongmin: In the past, we didn't have many opportunities to meet up close for long periods of time, but this time, it's good that we can meet up close and often.
I think it will be a performance where fans can sing and dance together and have fun. Q. I think you have been to Japan many times, but what was the most memorable thing about your stay this time?
Have you been to any of them? Also, please tell us about any places you want to go to, foods you want to eat, or anything you're looking forward to. Kwangmin: Yesterday, the four of us went golfing.
Minwoo: Yes, we went to a rural area about an hour and a half away and were able to travel in nature just like you see in the movies.
Hyunseong: I went to the Skytree yesterday. I'm not very good with high things so I didn't go up there but I did get close.
Kwangmin: I love ramen and I'm always looking for ramen restaurants.
Donghyun: I want to go to the Sapporo Snow Festival in the cold season. Also, I want to enjoy the snow scenery at a ryokan.
I want to eat while doing other things. But it's popular and difficult to make a reservation, so I haven't been able to go yet. Q. Please tell us about your future plans and goals for the group.
Donghyun: Our goal is to release an album in Japan soon, and for Youngmin to come back and release "BO
Hyunseong: With Youngmin returning, our goal is to show a good performance as BOYFRIEND with 6 members from next year.
Q. Finally, please give a message to your Japanese fans. Minwoo: Thank you for supporting us for over 10 years no matter what.
I'm sure there have been many opportunities for us to meet, but we are holding meetings and making preparations to have even more opportunities to meet in the future, so please continue to be by our side.
Jeongmin: Next year, BF will return to the complete 6-member group BOYFRIEND, so please wait a little longer.
