US and South Korea to discuss UN General Assembly resolution on AI, first in the military field, in early October

South Korea and the United States discussed AI in the military field. He sympathized with the need to promote the development of a world economy through the implementation of the Blueprint for the Future of International Relations (REAIM) and evaluated the Second REAIM High-Level Conference as a success.
The UN Security Council adopted the "Democratic Action" on AI, which is said to have contributed to future discussions on AI norms and governance in the military field.
Based on this outcome, the two sides will also closely discuss the UN General Assembly's first-ever resolution on artificial intelligence (AI), which will be jointly submitted by South Korea and the Netherlands to the First Committee of the UN General Assembly in October.
They also agreed to cooperate to strengthen the AI capabilities of the Global South. They also agreed to discuss the overall trends in disarmament and non-proliferation, including the nuclear buildup in countries surrounding the Korean Peninsula, and their impact on the Korean Peninsula.
