The first ”World Standardization Forum” will be held in Seoul next December (South Korea)
The Korea National Agency for Technology and Standards (KANSAS) of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on the 12th that
The first meeting will be held in December 2025 at the "2024 International Organization for Standardization (ISO) General Assembly."
The ISO General Assembly has decided that Seoul will be the venue for the 1st World Standardization Forum, which will be held in Seoul in the future.
The forum was launched at the suggestion of Cho Sung-hwan, Korea's first ISO chairman (and advisor to Hyundai Mobis).
Chairman Cho said he will hold a Next Generation Standards Forum, which will bring together executives from global companies that use standards, to discuss how to address global issues such as AI and climate change, under the leadership of the three major international standards organizations.
The forum, which will be held in Seoul next year, is titled "Beyond Standards for Product Production: Standards for Sustainable and Better Future Growth."
