BTS' JUNG KOOK's involvement in the ”New Jeans” affair sparks various ”interpretations” from fans

‘BTS’ Jung Kook has left a post that is reminiscent of his junior group ‘NewJeans’, which is being interpreted in different ways. Fans have mixed opinions on the meaning of the text and who the target is referring to.

On the 14th, Jung Kook posted a post saying "Artists are not guilty" and a photo of his dog through his dog's account. He then added blue, pink, yellow, green and purple heart emojis symbolising the members of NewJeans and an arm emoji signifying support.

Over this post, it was interpreted that Jung Kook wrote the text with ‘NewJeans’ in mind. Another interpretation was that it was a statement of support for the junior ‘NewJeans’ who were clashing with HYBE in a roundabout way. After some speculation, Jung Kook wrote in another post about four hours later, "Don't use them."

Nonetheless, interpretations are rife as to whether the post was directed at HYBE, with whom ‘NewJeans’ had vented their discontent, or at former ADOR head Min Hee Jin, who is allegedly trying to solve the problem by putting ‘NewJeans’ front and centre. On the 11th Jung Kook's post attracted even more attention, as it was a situation where he suddenly live-streamed and gave a final notice to HYBE.

As speculation continued, the ‘BTS’ agency immediately stated its position. The agency BIGHIT MUSIC explained "It has been confirmed that the post was made with the idea that under no circumstances should young artists be involved in disputes and be used as a shield."

This explanation from the agency has also been interpreted in various ways by netizens, but in the end, the predominant interpretation is that the essential content of the post was directed at both agencies.
