"There should be an investigation that is proportionate to that," Mayor Hong said on Facebook this morning, "I have no reason to side with former President Moon, and I also hope that he goes to jail.
"But even if we are going to send them to prison, we should send them on charges that are appropriate for that purpose," he said. "The person who severely oppressed us, labelling us as a delinquent in national politics (Moon University)
"It is not in line with social justice for a former president (the president) to be able to live out his old age in peace," he said. "If there is an investigation into the wrongdoing of a former president, then it should be an investigation that is proportionate to that."
There are many acts of treason that border on state crimes, such as whether there were any state secrets in the USB handed over to North Korean leader Kim Jong Eun at Panmunjom.
"Turning a blind eye to the fact that she was involved and investigating her support for her daughter's family would not be in line with the principle of proportionality in investigations."
