Kang Dong-geun, who won his fourth title, added an additional 100 million won (approximately 10 million yen) to his winnings, bringing his total prize money to over 594 million won.
Kang Dong-geun has been doing great this season. He has made it to the finals three times in the past four tours, winning two of them and becoming the strongest player of the season.
This makes him just the third player to win two or more tours in a single season, after Frederic CAUDRON (Belgium) and Cho Jae-ho (NH Nonghyup Card).
The defending champion of this tournament, COKLU, attempted to win the championship for the second time in their career, but unfortunately suffered a bitter defeat just before the championship.
COKLU recorded an average of 3.462 in the round of 16 and won the "Welcome Top Ranking" given to the player with the highest average in a single game.
Immediately after winning, Kang Dong-geun said, "I often remember not doing well in the tournament after winning, but this year is different. Every time I'm in danger, I feel like someone is lifting me up from the sky.

In the women's division of the LPBA, "billiards empress" Kim Ga-young won her first championship since her professional debut against Han Jieun, who lost 4:3.
After a tough match, they won the championship cup. Yusuke Mori, Orie Hida, and Natsumi Higashiuchi were all eliminated in the round of 32.
Meanwhile, the PBA will hold the second round of the team league in Kyoto from the 25th to October 3rd.
