China-Europe freight trains connecting China and Europe operated 13,056 trains in January-August - Chinese media

According to China Railway Corporation (hereinafter referred to as China Railway Corporation), the cumulative number of China-Europe freight trains (international freight trains) operated in the first eight months of this year was 13,056, up 12% from the same period last year.
The volume of cargo transported by the port reached 1,399,000 TEU, up 11% year on year. Of these, the number of operations in August was 1,653, and the volume of cargo transported was 173,000.
The number of China Express trains in a single month has exceeded 1,600 for six consecutive months.
This year, China Railway Group has been expanding the scale of its China-Europe freight trains, increasing the number of trains in operation and improving the quality. In July, the China-Europe freight trains on the Trans-Caspian Sea route will begin regular service.
In addition, China-Europe freight trains have also started operating from cities in China, such as Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, and Lvliang City, Shanxi Province, promoting the external development of inland cities.
