Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has spoken to Argentine President Javier Milley.
During a meeting scheduled for October 19, Hoskinson will discuss the future of blockchain with the Argentine president.
He also attended the Tech Forum Argentina and said he plans to discuss how blockchain will play a key role in global economic and political systems.
The meeting will also discuss the value and necessity of Argentina to pursue in a technological context, creating a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), and how it can transform the Argentine economy.
"We have had many discussions with the Argentine administration, and we are looking into whether they should continue to do business with Argentina, and what kind of partners they should work with to rebuild their economy," Hoskinson said.
I will probably meet with President Milley on the 19th, if not then, I will meet with him at some point. I will be discussing the future of blockchain with the President's aides at a forum.
In an interview with Cointelegraph, Hoskinson described Milley as "really a philosophical Austrian," and said Milley's thoughts:
He hinted that his ideas align with some cryptocurrency principles, explaining that he wants to end government-controlled currencies and supports private institutions and free markets.
Meanwhile, President Milley is widely known as a supporter of cryptocurrencies, and on his X (formerly Twitter) account, he announced that he would be sending Dario Epstein (Dario Epstein) in May 2024.
He has publicly supported Cardano by reposting Cardano-related posts by John Epstein and has also directly reposted Hoskinson's posts.
