US Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has publicly spoken about cryptocurrencies for the first time, pledging to support the industry.
According to multiple media outlets, Ha Ri Su spoke to Bloomberg at a Wall Street fundraising event in Manhattan on the 22nd (local time) about her artificial intelligence (AI)
"We will work together to enhance America's competitiveness and invest in the future. We will encourage investment in innovative technologies such as AI and digital assets," said candidate Ha Ri Su.
"We will create a safe business environment with consistent and transparent rules, invest in semiconductors, clean energy and future industries, and eliminate unnecessary spending," he said.
"We want to reduce bureaucracy," he said. His comments were his first public mention of cryptocurrencies since emerging as a Democratic presidential candidate.
President Donald Trump has also made efforts to embrace the cryptocurrency industry. The cryptocurrency industry is watching to see if candidate Ha Ri Su will take a stance that differs from President Joe Biden's approach.
President Biden has shown an unfriendly stance towards the cryptocurrency industry. Last month, Brian Nelson, an adviser to Ha Ri Su's campaign, said that if he wins the November presidential election, Ha Ri Su will
Liss indicated he supports cryptocurrency policy but said clear rules are needed after some of the companies collapsed. Fayar Shirzad, head of policy at Coinbase, said:
"Kamala Ha Ri Su's remarks today are an important and constructive message," he said. "Although they are not as aggressive as the specific and pioneering positions presented by Donald Trump, they are a major driver of digital asset innovation, just like AI."
"It is noteworthy that the FDA has recognized this technology as a critical one," he added.
