On the 24th (local time), the Foreign Minister of the United States held a closed-door meeting with his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez. During the meeting, the two countries discussed the opening of permanent diplomatic missions, development cooperation, culture, sports, and people-to-people exchanges.
The two sides are currently working on the practical steps to set up permanent diplomatic missions in each other's countries by the end of the year.
