"Beginning-2 Episode 9" depicts the start of an investigation into police substation chief Lu Peng.
An Xin advises Gao Qilan to distance herself from Gao Qiqiang, but Gao Qilan rejects An Xin's advice.
Later, An Xin reported to Xu Zhong and Ji Ze that Gao Qiqiang had begun to move, and the two ordered An Xin to take them to the old factory district.
