Marathon held in ”heat”... 4 patients infected, 1 with ”low consciousness” = South Korea
At a marathon held on the 29th on Ganghwa Island in Incheon, South Korea, four people reported feeling unwell and were believed to have been suffering from heatstroke.
According to the Incheon Fire Department on the 30th, four participants at a marathon held on Ganghwa Island on the morning of the 29th complained of symptoms such as dizziness and difficulty breathing.
The daytime temperature on Ganghwa Island was 28 degrees Celsius. Fire department officials transported one of the four, a woman in her 30s who showed signs of losing consciousness, to the hospital. A man in his 60s suffered minor injuries and five died.
The two men, one in his 20s and the other in his 30s, were either given emergency treatment at the scene or transported to a facility by ambulance. Fire and police authorities believe the high temperatures during the day are to blame for the outbreak.
