We will not tolerate any malicious posts, such as defamation, insults, sexual harassment, spreading of false facts, or malicious slander against "BTS."
We are taking long-term, regular legal action against contributors. We would like to inform you of key progress in this regard. This quarter, we will continue to work closely with our fans to provide input and self-monitoring.
We will collect evidence regarding numerous malicious posts posted on various platforms, including Best, DC Inside, theqoo, FMKorea, and instiz, and report them to the investigative authorities.
We have filed a lawsuit. As mentioned in the previous announcement, the lawsuit for damages for defamation and other illegal acts was filed against the Taldeok Concentration Camp. The first trial has been held, and subsequent procedures are still ongoing.
We are proceeding diligently and are actively working with investigative and related agencies to ensure that those suspected of illegally obtaining and leaking personal information of artists are punished.
Meanwhile, the suspects who were previously referred to the prosecutor's office on suspicion of insult and defamation have been sentenced to a fine. The suspects are Naver, Nikkan Best, and NatePan.
Some suspects, including users of FM Korea and other services, repeatedly posted similar malicious posts and comments over a long period of time and received the maximum fine for each offense.
The police investigation has recently been completed, and we are awaiting the results of the prosecution's decision on the suspects, and are doing our utmost to ensure that they are severely punished.
Malicious posts against members of "BTS" who are fulfilling their military service obligations are being collected, reported, and legal action is being taken continuously.
