The standard contract to protect the interests of artists and management agencies was recently released. The standard contract includes the terms of appearance at awards ceremonies, such as appearance fees, safety measures, copyrights, and compliance with pre-agreed matters.
The Korea Music Content Association has created two types of contracts for artists with management offices and those without.
In particular, the performance fee is to be decided in advance between the hosting company and the artist, and even in the case of unpaid performance contracts, rights and obligations are clearly stated.
In addition, the organizers have announced that they will strengthen security measures to ensure the safety of artists and audiences, and will protect the copyrights and portrait rights of artists.
Of course, it also clearly states the responsibilities and obligations that artists and management agencies must abide by.
The statement includes messages such as, "I will have to attend the awards ceremony and will make an effort not to do anything that would damage my dignity as a celebrity."
An official from the association said, "Through the announcement of the contract for the awards ceremony, we have established a system where artists and artists can perform at the K-POP awards ceremony.
"This will enable us to protect the rights of music management agencies more fairly and transparently," the company said, adding, "We will strive for the sustainable development of the music industry."
