China's National Bureau of Statistics: September manufacturing PMI rose to 49.8 from the previous month - Chinese media

China's National Bureau of Statistics recently announced that the manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for September rose 0.7 points from the previous month to 49.8. The manufacturing economy is improving.
By company size, the PMI for large companies increased 0.2 points to 50.6, for medium-sized companies it increased 0.5 points to 49.2, and for small companies it increased 2.1 points to 48.5.
Among the five sub-indices that make up the manufacturing PMI, the production index increased by 1.4 points to 51.2, exceeding the 50 mark that separates economic expansion from contraction.
In addition, the new orders index increased by 1.0 point to 49.9, the raw materials inventory ratio index increased by 0.1 point to 47.7, and the employee index increased by 0.1 point to 49.9.
The index for manufacturing output, which covers the construction and services industries, fell 0.3 points from the previous month to 48.2, and the supplier delivery time index, which fell 0.1 points to 49.5, both of which were below 50.
The PMI for the construction sector increased 0.1 points to 50.7, while the PMI for the services sector decreased 0.3 points to 49.9.
