Han said this to reporters after the on-site supreme committee meeting held in Ganghwa County, Incheon this morning.
Regarding the argument by the pro-Han Donghun faction that Mrs. Kim should restrain her activities, Han said, "Isn't that what she promised to the people during the presidential election? I think she should abide by that."
This comes after he said in Busan the previous day that he "sympathizes" with the claims of the pro-Han Donghun faction. Pro-Kim Yoon Seo-gyol said that criticizing Kim Jong-un would split the conservative camp.
In response to a criticism from the Seok-Yeol faction, Han responded, "I am just saying that we need politics that are in line with the people's perspective, and that we, the People's Power, must pursue such politics."
"Whether they are pro-Yoon Seok-yeol or one of the secretaries in the presidential secretariat, I want them to speak openly and use their own names if they have an opinion, rather than hiding behind anonymity and speaking out of the public's mind."
Regarding Myung Tae-gyun, who is at the center of allegations that Kim was involved in the nomination process, Han said, "It is unthinkable that such fraudsters and political brokers could be behind such big scandals in mainstream politics."
I think it would be unfortunate if the public were to misunderstand that I am swaying the government. I think the public would feel ashamed," he said. Han added, "I cannot support such a political blockade under the power of the people that I lead.
"There will be no place for stalkers or those who are in collusion with the government. I started politics to put an end to such outdated politics. I will keep that promise," he said.
