Actor Jin Young (former B1A4) has taken his first step as a full-fledged global star by entering the Taiwanese film market.

Jin Young plays the role of Korean taekwondo coach Kim Ho-hee in the drama.
"Kim Ho-hee" is the same character as Jin Woo, played by Jin Young in the Korean version of "You Are the Apple of My Eye," which was screened at the 29th Busan International Film Festival.
Unlike the original character, Gwon-do, this is a busy and mature character with a 70s sensibility. Jin Young is teasing that he will show a completely different side of himself from his previous work, raising expectations.
In particular, the actress who played the opposite role in the Netflix TV series "The Next Victim" and the film "I Am the Secret in Your Life" screened at the Busan International Film Festival.
The rising star Moon Lee, who has captivated not only Taiwanese but also Koreans with her work on "Heart," will join the cast to further enrich the film's appeal.
Jin Young commented on participating in "The Photo from 1977," "This is my first time participating in a Taiwanese production, but after receiving the script, I read it five times and cried all five times."
Although it was my first time working on a foreign production, the script was solid and I was more excited than worried," he said, expressing his affection for the series.
He continued, "It was a production I wanted so much that I didn't think the language was an issue. I recently learned Chinese for the movie."
"I'm also taking English and Taekwondo lessons and preparing for filming," he added. As the film is originally from Taiwan, he has teased that the filming will take place on location, and is also not neglecting his activities in Korea.
The TV series based on the movie "Miss Granny," which recorded an audience of 8.66 million people, is about to be broadcast, and the Korean version of "You Are the Apple of My Eye," a hot topic at this year's Busan International Film Festival, will be released as a Korean version of Jin Young's overseas
