Kia Motors to sell limited edition luggage mats made from recycled plastic in collaboration with Dutch NPO (Korea)

Kia Motors has announced that it will collaborate with Dutch non-profit organization Ocean Cleanup to sell a limited number of automotive products made from recycled plastic.
The luggage mat that was developed is a special product for the company's electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) "EV3".
The car was made from recycled marine plastic collected from areas with high levels of marine plastic pollution. It is scheduled to be sold in some regions, including Europe. Prior to this, Kia Motors has been promoting the initiative to eliminate marine plastic.

The mat is made from 40% recycled marine plastic and has the same excellent durability and quality as existing luggage mats.

The plan is to increase the use of recycled plastics in finished vehicles to more than 20% by 2020.
