韓国の再補選、全羅南道霊光郡で最高投票率70.1%、釜山広域市金井区では47.2%
In South Korea's by-elections, the highest turnout was 70.1% in Yeonggwang-gun, South Jeolla Province, and 47.2% in Geumjeong-gu, Busan Metropolitan City.
The Korea Central Election Commission announced on the 16th that the final voter turnout nationwide in the by-elections to select four local government heads and the Seoul Metropolitan Superintendent of Education was 24.62%.
Voting began at 6 a.m. on the day of the election, and 2,128,057 people out of a total of 8,645,180 eligible voters voted. This figure includes the previous votes cast on the 11th and 12th.
The turnout rate in the four by-elections for local government heads was 53.9%, up from 48.7% in the by-election for the head of Gangseo-gu District, Seoul, held on October 11 last year.
By region, the highest turnout was 70.1% in the by-election for Yeonggwang County Governor in South Jeolla Province, followed by Gokseong County Governor in the same province at 64.6%.
The turnout rate in the city was 47.2%, while in Ganghwa County, Incheon Metropolitan City, the turnout rate was 58.3%.
