「ハンガン作家」特別展から森の中の図書館まで…読書の秋を楽しむソウル=韓国
From the ”Writer Han Kang” special exhibition to a library in the forest... Enjoy autumn reading in Seoul (Korea)
The Seoul Metropolitan Government in South Korea is operating various types of outdoor libraries to welcome the "Autumn of Reading." On the 19th, the government announced that Guro-gu is holding the opening of the library to commemorate the Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to the writer Han Kang.
The novels of Han Kang will be exhibited at the Anyangcheon Outdoor Library "Reading Guro." A total of seven of Han Kang's novels will be on display, including "A Boy is Coming" and "I Won't Say Goodbye."
The ward is running an outdoor library called "Guro Reading Books" in the area around Anyang River from the 29th to the 26th of last month. During the operation period, the library will be open from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on weekends.
Anyone who visits Ngangcheon is free to borrow and read books, and a variety of cultural performances, including magic shows and music performances, are held every week.
Seodaemun-gu will also hold a 200% outdoor event at Hongjae Waterfall Square called "Seodaemun Hot Place."
The Seoul Outdoor Library, which was voted the number one policy by Seoul citizens last year, will be located near the Hongje River. The library will be open from the 19th to the 20th of this month.
The reading space will be set up for the event on the 2nd and 3rd of each month from 11am to 6pm. The ward will provide a reading space with 3,000 books, sofas to lie down on, and camping chairs.
The facility will operate a variety of facilities, including a "pop-up book corner," a "block toy and board game zone" where families can have fun together, and a "kids cafe" for infants and young children.
Cheongpa-gu will be running the "Libraries in the Park" event for three weeks until November 2nd, where people can enjoy reading outdoors in the park. This event will be held at Seoul Library.
This is the Cheongpa-gu version of the Seoul Outdoor Library, which is operated by region. There are four outdoor libraries in the autonomous region, including Cheongpa-gu.
An official from the autonomous district said, "Through the outdoor library, people can easily enjoy books, nature, and culture.
"I hope that everyone will have a unique experience and enjoy the different cultures," he said, adding, "We will continue to create spaces where people can enjoy diverse cultures."
