「戦と乱」パク・ジョンミン、「カン・ドンウォンの召使い役のキャスティングだけ待った…無限待機の覚悟」
”War and Chaos” Park Jung Min: ”I was only waiting to be cast as Kang Dong Won's servant...prepared for an eternity of waiting”
Kang Dong Won, Park Jung Min, and Cha Seung Won, the main actors of the movie "War and Chaos" released on Netflix, appeared in the interview corner of MBC's "Depart! Video Travel" on the 20th.
"War and Chaos" is a story about two close friends who grew up together during the chaotic times of the Japanese invasion of Korea by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, but who end up serving as King Seonjo's closest aide.
The story revolves around "Jeong Ryo" (Park Jung Min), a military officer, and his servant "Jeong Yong" (Kang Dong Won), who became a righteous soldier, but end up meeting again as enemies.
Actor Park Jung Min, who revealed that he was first proposed this work by director Park Chan Wook, the producer of "War and Chaos," will play the role of servant Jeong Yeon alongside Kang Dong Woo.
He shared a heartwarming behind-the-scenes story about how when he heard that Lee was planning to cast him, he prepared himself to wait indefinitely and waited for him.
Park Jung Min also expressed admiration for actor Cha Seung Won's unique tone acting.
He expressed his honest feelings when he was trying to deliver lines that were similar but different, saying, "I can't do it like that...", drawing laughter from the audience.
Cha Seung Won responded by saying that Park Jung Min's character, Jeong Ryo, "is the one who has the most emotional waves.
He is a very tall character, but Park Jung Min did it all," he said, lavishing praise on the actor and creating a friendly atmosphere. Kang Dong Won and Park Jung Min will be showing off their magnificent swordsmanship in this work.
Unlike Kang Dong Won, who is used to swordsmanship, Park Jung Min is not used to swordsmanship and almost cut his co-star Jung Sung Il in half.
Meanwhile, actor Kang Dong Won said that he was very happy to work with director Kim Sang Man, whom director Park Chan Wook praised as a "genius."
Expressing her satisfaction, she said, "I liked the wanted flyer for Jung Yong that the director drew himself, so I brought it home to frame and hang it up," revealing her deep affection for him.
The cast's interviews, which feature candid talk about the film and behind-the-scenes footage, will be broadcast on MBTV on Sunday, the 20th at 12:05 p.m.
