Actress Han Seo Hee moves out of her first home worth about 200 million yen and becomes the owner of a penthouse worth about 560 million yen

On the 20th, it was confirmed that actress Han So-hee received a penthouse of one luxury house in Kuri, Gyeonggi-do, for 5.24 billion won in August this year. In 2021, Han So Hee, who had resided in one luxury villa with one household sold for 1.95 billion won, moved her residence to a penthouse located a five-minute walk away from the relevant residence.

According to the court register, on the 21st, Han So Hee purchased a duplex penthouse with an area of 203 square metres exclusively for Arcadia Signature in Achondong, Guri, Gyeonggi-do (Echeon-dong). Han So-hee paid the balance and had the ownership transferred on 30 June last month, but a city bank revolving mortgage with a maximum claim amount of KRW 1.1 billion was attached to the property. Considering that the maximum amount of claim is usually set at 110-120% of the loan amount, it is analysed that the penthouse was sold with a loan of approximately KRW 1 billion.

Arcadia Signature, which was completed in May last year and has two basement levels and four floors above ground, is a rural residential-type luxury villa with only eight households in total. It consists of six ordinary households and two penthouse households, with sale prices ranging from the high 4 billion yen to mid 5 billion yen, depending on the type. The Walker Hill Hotel in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, is a 10-minute drive away, and nearby are Achasan (Mt Easaga) Park and Guri Hangang (Han River) Civic Park. In addition, medical facilities such as Seoul Asan Hospital and Gondae Hospital, Hyundai Department Store and Jamsil Lotte Department Store are located within 10-15 minutes. Only two of the eight households have had their ownership transferred, as the houses are for sale later.

The penthouse that Han Sohee received for sale was a maisonette-type structure with the largest area among the eight households, consisting of four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an attic and a roof-top terrace. The penthouse type offers a view of the Han River as well as Mt Easaga and Yongmasan (Mt Yongma).

Earlier, Han So-hee made headlines by purchasing a 155-square-metre household dedicated to ‘villadegreeumW’, located approximately 200 metres away from Arcadia Signature, in December 2021 for 1.95 billion won in all cash. Han So-hee, who has been living in the house, recently announced the news of her move via her personal blog.

The villadegreeumW is also a luxury residence completed in 2020 and is listed as a landmark villa in the area. The building was built with 16 households on four floors from the basement to the ground level, and in addition to Han So-hee, singer Moon Hee-jung from the group H.O.T. is the other owner. The age range of the other owners varied from those born in the 1950s to those born in the 1990s, but Han So-hee was the youngest owner. There were also two other owners in their 30s and one household owned by a corporation.

The area, where various luxury villas are densely located, enjoys a rural lifestyle and is known to be a ‘quasi-Seoul’ location and home to many celebrities. A four-lane national road connecting Guri and Gwangjang-dong in Gwangjin-gu was laid out, the green belt was lifted in 2006, and single-family houses and luxury villas have been built throughout the area. Artists such as novelists, painters and printmakers have long lived in the area, which is sometimes referred to as the ‘artists’ village', and it has been transformed into a luxury residential area with actors Hyun Bin and Oh Young Soo and singer J.Y. Park buying homes.
