Eight North Korean soldiers ”died” on first day of deployment in Ukraine war - Ukrainian media

As 12,000 North Korean soldiers are reportedly being sent to support Russia in its ongoing war with Ukraine, "several North Korean soldiers were injured in combat on their first day in Ukraine," the North Korean military said.
On the 22nd (local time), the Ukrainian newspaper Kyiv Post reported that a Chinese mercenary working for the Russian military had posted the above video on social media.
According to the report, a Chinese mercenary who called himself "Dian Yuzhan" broadcast live on X (formerly Twitter) and said, "Eight North Korean military officers were deployed.
In a video, the Chinese mercenary released a list of 153 Chinese nationals who died on the Luhansk front line, saying, "The Pyongyang soldiers are acting rough.
But eight officers died just one day after joining the war," he said, laughing. The Kyiv Post interpreted this as "a mockery of North Korea's poor performance."
