A wallet purportedly controlled by the U.S. government appears to have been hacked.
According to a report citing the US Intelligence report, $20 million was stolen from a wallet allegedly controlled by the US government, including the 2016 Bitfinex
The funds seized in the Bitfinex hack included USD Coin (USDC), Tether (USDT), aUSDC, Ethereum (ETH), and other cryptocurrencies.
The money was sent to a wallet beginning with "0x348." Arkham Intelligence said, "The hackers began converting the stablecoins into Ethereum to launder the funds."
The funds are being transferred through addresses associated with the service."
