”I can't sleep because dogs are running around”... Internet users have mixed opinions about residents who scattered thumbtacks on their roofs (South Korea)
A story has been reported in South Korea about a neighbor's dog being harmed by scattering thumb tacks on the roof because the dog was running around and making too much noise.
On the 24th, JTBC's TV program "Case Leader" aired a program about a dog that was found dead on the roof of a tenement house in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province, on the 18th.
The source, Mr. A, said that he had stepped on a thumbtack while walking with his dog. Mr. A claimed that the resident living on the floor below had scattered the thumbtacks on the roof because they were "noisy."
He was dissatisfied with Mr. A coming to the roof with his dog, and acted in this way. Mr. A said, "Recently, the manager of the management office said, 'The resident living on the floor below us works at night and sleeps in the morning, but his dog runs around.
"I can't sleep because he keeps spinning around," he said. In response, Mr. A said, "I put a collar on him when we go to the roof so he can't run."
However, the residents on the floor below the rooftop who complained piled their belongings on the rooftop entrance and blocked the rooftop door.
After filing a complaint with the owner, the luggage blocking the door was removed that evening. After confirming this, Mr. A went to the roof with his dog and discovered thumbtacks scattered on the floor.
In the published photo, a thumbtack can be seen stuck in the dog's paw. Mr. A said, "The resident living on the floor below scattered the thumbtacks on the roof because they thought it was too noisy. The noise from the rooftop can only be felt from the rooftop.
"There are only residents from the floors above and below. He was unhappy with me coming onto the roof with my dog, so he did this," he claimed.
He continued, "The main time to go up to the roof is in the morning when people are active.
The time I spend with my dog is always about six minutes, which is a short time. Other residents have been taking their dogs to the rooftop for a while now, and they even put collars on their dogs because they were told they were noisy, but I've never seen anything like this.
"I'm shocked that he would do something like that," he said. Netizens who learned of the situation commented, "Is that why he scattered the thumbtacks?", "What a horrible neighbor," and "Why does he have to go up to the roof like that?"
A variety of responses were given, including "Dogs bark really loudly in shared housing" and "If you want to go for a walk, just go outside."
