The Yonago route was operated exclusively by Air Seoul from its first operation in 2016 until 2019, and has been in operation since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The flight resumed operations three times a week on October 25, 2018, after the last flight was shut down. In the year since the flight resumed operations, about 60,000 passengers have boarded the flight, introducing the charm of Yonago, a small city that represents Japan, to Korea.
The airline has also contributed to revitalizing economic and cultural exchanges, including travel between the two countries. Over the past year, it has recorded an 84% boarding rate, and in the summer of last year, just before the airline resumed operations, many passengers applied for passports to visit Korea.
The number of Tottori residents using the service has increased sharply, making it a hot topic in the media in both countries. This time, Air Seoul held an event at Yonago Airport to celebrate the first anniversary of its Yonago service, and gave passengers gifts to show their appreciation.
An Air Seoul official said, "Yonago is a small but attractive city, and we are celebrating our first anniversary with the great interest and support of our customers. It is an exclusive route, so it is even more enjoyable."
"We will continue to offer many events and a variety of benefits to make it a great trip."
