”MAMA AWARDS” production: ”G-DRAGON (BIGBANG) to appear for the first time in nine years, confident he can ”overwhelm” the crowd”

The production team of "MAMA AWARDS" revealed the inside story behind singer G-DRAGON (BIGBANG)'s appearance offer, raising expectations by teasing his overwhelming performance.
On the morning of the 29th, the "2024 MAMA" event was held at the CJ ENM Center Talent Studio in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

Team Leader (Convention Business Team 2) and Director Noh Mi-rae (Art Creation Team 1) participated and revealed the 25-year history of MAMA and plans for this year's awards ceremony.
This year, actor Park BoGum and actress Kim TaeRi will be hosting the MAMA AWARDS in the US and Japan, respectively, while GD will be among the performers.
When asked about the process of offering G-DRAGON an appearance, CP Yoon said, "What can we do to differentiate ourselves (at the awards ceremony)?"
"I was worried about whether to do it," he said, adding, "I couldn't help but think of G-DRAGON, who gave an iconic stage performance at 'MAMA.'"
He added, "After hearing the news that they were preparing for a comeback this year, we started negotiations."
"I'm confident that we can create a stage that will be a hot topic for 10 or 20 years. G-Dragon also said, 'We can overwhelm you,'" he said, raising expectations and curiosity.
It has been nine years since G-DRAGON last appeared at the MAMA AWARDS in 2015. Fans were excited about his performance after he recently announced his comeback.
Interest is also growing. Attention is focused on whether G-DRAGON will be able to repeat his legendary performance once again on the stage of the "MAMA AWARDS" which is returning after a nine-year hiatus.
Prior to this, G-DRAGON released his third teaser content on the afternoon of the 28th, raising the excitement for his comeback.
The "Awards" will be held for the first time in America, the center of the global pop market, on November 21st (local time) at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, where the Academy Awards ceremony is held every year.
The awards ceremony will be held at the 2019 Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre in Tokyo on November 22 and 23, and at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan on November 22 and 23. All three days of the ceremony will be broadcast live around the world.
