The company announced that its "Lavity Hair Lifting Shampoo Strong" sold out in about 40 minutes. It sold up to 24 million won (about 2.65 million yen) per minute, and the three-month sales plan was completed.
The company sold out 3,000 bottles in total. This is the second time the company has sold out, following the September sale of 20,000 bottles. The product uses KAIST's polyphenol-related technology to prevent hair loss and improve hair volume.
It contains "Lift Max" which forms a polyphenol protective film immediately after shampoo use. Clinical trials have shown that after one use, hair thickness increases by 19.22% and hair volume increases by 87.22%.
After two weeks of use, hair loss rates were reduced by 73.23%. Eight months after the product went on sale in April, the company received 3 billion won (approximately 332.27 million yen) in Series A funding.
Currently, the product is sold on TV shopping channels, department stores such as Hyundai Department Store, and e-commerce sites such as Coupan. It is expected to be available on E-Mart and Olive Yang by the end of the year.
It is also planned to be sold at retailers such as Yahoo! Shopping.
